Location is a key strength, just a 15-minute stroll to the city center, perfect for exploring. The recently revamped rooms feature tasteful sage green walls and functional en-suites, especially appreciated was the powerful shower that delivered a great experience.

There were several inconveniences during the stay. The room had a noticeable damp smell along the skirting boards, which detracted from the otherwise pleasant decor. The absence of bathroom ventilation led to peeling paint, and the shower had minor drainage issues. Although the bed was firm, some may find the comfort level on the stiff side, not ideal for everyone. It can get a bit noisy, especially with events taking place in the bar well into the night, which may disturb lighter sleepers. Lastly, the parking situation can be tight, and hunting for a spot early on might be necessary.

I recently enjoyed my stay in a beautifully decorated room that radiated warmth and style. The staff were incredibly attentive, ready to help with anything from dinner reservations to filling my water bottle. Plus, the dinner menu was an absolute treat, fresh and bursting with flavor, it was clear that the chefs really care about their craft!

The suite we stayed in was spacious and cozy, with an extremely comfortable king bed that made for a restful night's sleep. The clw-foot tub in the bathroom was a delightful feature, adding a touch of luxury to our stay.

The breakfast buffet, while ample, could benefit from more variety and attention to detail.

The George Hotel, BW Signature Collection, boasts a charming Victorian decor, making it a very inviting space. The staff were incredibly attentive, assisting me with anything I needed, ensuring my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

More variety in breakfast choices would be appreciated.

Solo traveler seeking a good night

The staff were welcoming and helped me find my room when I got lost. The shower was modern but slippery, and I just wish there was a shelf for my stuff.

It certainly wasn't budget-friendly but it met my expectations.

Two different room types offered comfortable beds, with enjoyable pillows in one room that tempted a guest to take them home. The air conditioning in the double rooms handled the hot weather well, keeping things cool and pleasant while the lounge area featured modern decor, perfect for unwinding after a day out.

Some rooms felt cramped, especially the solo traveler room, which could use more space to avoid bumping into furniture when accessing the wardrobe. Dining options appeared limited, with a simplistic menu that might not satisfy guests looking for a more diverse selection. the breakfast lacked variety, and a specific dish even resembled something reheated rather than freshly prepared, leaving a little to be desired when starting the day.

I had an awesome one-night stay where I enjoyed a delicious dinner and a super comfy bed. The hotel offers a nice pool and relaxing spa that made it easy to unwind. The only thing was the shower was in the bath, which might not be ideal for everyone, but it didn’t ruin my experience. 🌟

We loved our stay! The place was pretty neat and spacious, just what we needed. The restaurant's food was ace, and it was an easy 20 min walk into the city. One little thing – the carpet in our room could've used a refresh. Otherwise, a lovely family trip with great staff!

It was just an optimal selection for a speedy visit in Norwich with good value considering the price charged. The room was spacious and beautifully restored, complete with a large bathroom and a relaxing bath. Make sure to enjoy a drink at the bar before heading out.
